Now, let me share three of my favorite good morning tea recipes that are sure to satisfy your taste buds and give an energy boost to start your day!

Recipe 1: Strong and Robust Black Tea

This blend offers the full-bodied strength of black tea with the added benefits of ginseng, known for boosting energy and focus, and ginger, which aids digestion and provides a warming spice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 teabag or 1 tsp of strong black tea (e.g. English Breakfast, Assam, or Ceylon)
  • 2 slices of dried ginseng root
  • 2 slices of fresh or dried ginger root
  • Honey (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Boil the Water: Bring fresh water to a boil (around 200-212°F or 95-100°C) to extract the bold flavors from the black tea and the beneficial compounds in the ginseng and ginger.
  2. Steep the Tea and Roots: Place your black tea (teabag or loose leaves in an infuser) into your mug. Add the ginseng and ginger root slices to the mug. Pour the hot water over the tea and roots, and let it steep for about 4-5 minutes.
  3. Add Honey (Optional): If you prefer a touch of sweetness, add honey to taste. Stir well until it dissolves.
