Ingredients

  • 2 oz Gin
  • 1 oz Earl Grey tea brewed strong and cooled
  • 1/2 oz Simple syrup
  • 1/2 oz Fresh lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon twist or Fresh lavender sprig for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Steep the Earl Grey tea in boiling water for about 5 minutes to make it strong. Allow it to cool completely.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the cooled Earl Grey tea, gin, simple syrup, and fresh lemon juice. Then fill the shaker with ice, covering all the liquid. Another option is to put the ingredients in a large glass.
  • Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds. If you are using a large glass (or a shaker) to make a stirred martini instead, use a long spoon and stir the cocktail for about 30 to 45 seconds.
  • Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass.
  • Garnish with a lemon twist or a sprig of fresh lavender, enjoy!
