Boil water in a small pot or kettle and add the lavender. Remove from heat, cover the pot, and let it steep for about 5 minutes.
Strain the lavender infusion into a pitcher while heating the milk just until it begins to steam. Avoid boiling to maintain the smooth texture of the milk.
Add the warm milk to the pitcher with lavender tea. Stir in honey or sugar to sweeten to your liking. You can also add a few drops of vanilla extract if you wish.
