- 4 cups Water
- 4 Green tea bags or 4 teaspoons of loose leaf
- 1/2 cup Fresh mint leaves
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1/2 Fresh lime juice for garnish
- Lime slices
- Ice cubes
Heat 4 cups of water so that the water is almost boiling. Then remove from heat, add the green tea bags (or loose leaf tea), and steep for about 3-5 minutes. Remoce the tea bags or strain if using loose leaf tea.
Add the fresh mint leaves (leave some for garnish) and sugar and stir. Let the mint steep as the tea cools to room temperature.
Once the tea has cooled, remove the mint leaves and stir in the fresh lime juice. If you want to make boozy version, add 1/2 to 1 cup of white rum.
Transfer the tea mixture to a pitcher and refrigerate until chilled.
Pour the chilled mint mojito iced tea over ice cubes in tall glasses and garnish with mint leaves and lime slices. Enjoy!
